oooh i'm in the newspaper
The Evening Echo covered Coexistmas, a winter fair i was taking part in, and decided to do a special feature on me and my garden jewellery! Both the photographer and journalist loved my garden rings, its now reinspired me to work more on my sculpture and a little less on the jewellery, like the Psycho Smileys. I do love the Psycho Smiley's and will carry on inventing new characters, but i think the Garden Jewellery Range is far more impressive, contemporary and cutting edge. But check out the article :-)

Garden Jewellery
Daniel Waddington is a new up and coming designer whose over-sized Garden Jewellery questions the way we visualise jewellery. He has stripped it from the body and used it to highlight the beauty of the garden. Using steel, brass and cement he creates strong iconic forms that contrast with the surroundings, applying contemporary patinas to create colours to compliment the garden.
The increasing popularity of gardening has instigated a new movement in garden adornment, of which Daniel Waddington is at the forefront. His creative over-sized garden jewellery exhibit the future of garden sculpture.

The Beginning
Daniel Waddington is starting his new blog today woohoo!
I am a newly graduated Jewellery Designer and Silversmith who dabbles in sculpture now and again. My main passion is the colouring of metals, through chemical application which creates a beautiful range of blues and turqoise in a unique random pattern. Here is my signiature piece, my take on a diamond necklace :-)
